    Mission Yoga

wearemissionyoga.com My spiritual home. No dogma, no drama. This is where I teach, so come and get some lovin’ from me. The Mission family is a group of talented, funny, and experienced teachers, and I feel honored to be part of such a great bunch. Yoga is not my workout, it is my spiritual practice. My entire business practices, my personal rituals, and my belief system is firmly rooted in Yoga.

    Pure Barre

purebarre.com One of the highlights of 2013 was being the national Ambassador for PB. It is hands down my favorite workout. Nothing makes me feel as long, lean, fit, and excited as PB. I stopped doing all high intensity stuff, and my hunger and energy levels are a lot more stable. I have taken over 350 classes now and never get bored, and always look forward to it. As a former fitness Instructor and now Entrepreneur I also really admire the brilliant business model. This is how successful franchising works. It all started with the dream of one woman. Big F!yeah shoutout to PB Charleston owners Jen Leitch and Jenn…

    Jessica Anderson

Jess and I met at a communication workshop of our dear friend and mentor David Michael. She really could be my sister. She is one of the most powerful bitches I know. Her ability to hold space, to encourage and support, and to help others see things differently is unreal. I very much lean on her for strength, empowerment, and am eternally grateful to have the privilege of being her friend.

If you are a people pleaser (PP), this is for you. The desire to help others and to be of service is a beautiful gift. When used in a way that strengthens us, it can be the best thing ever. There is a fine line between helping in a way that is in the highest good for all, and simply abandoning our own feelings, needs, and desires. What are the real costs of saying NO to your own needs, desires, and feelings? I have had this habit and have observed it in many of my clients. Here are some of the consequences: – anxiety – insecurity – resentment – illness…

    Green Monsters

I am fan of all things green to eat. Green is the color associated with the heart chakra. So whenever I feel sad, hurt, or disconnected, I like to chug a popeye drink. If you never had one, try this simple recipe: 1C coconut water 2 handfuls spinach 1 apple blend in blender The sky’s the limit. After I drink one of these puppies, I feel alive and my body goes from blah to f!yeah. If you have an epic recipe for me to try, please send it over!

    Gabbie Bernstein

gabbyb.tv Another huge source of Inspiration. I love the message this beautiful teacher is bringing to us. Many years back, I read “a course in miracles”, a year long workbook with daily exercises that change your perception of the world and retrain your stinking thinking. That book is dense and changed my life. She took the major keys and magically made the content accessible to more people. “May cause miracles” was born. I just love how she created a fantastic business for herself that helps so many people. I aspire to that!

    Eckart Tolle

eckharttolle.com Eckart Tolle’s teachings taught me to be present, and how to stop suffering. Another human being I just want to hug and hang out with. And of course he is German too, which makes me adore him even more. Wayne Dyer and Eckart Tolle recorded “The importance of being excellent”, and when I am not blasting gospel, or laughing my face off with comedy central radio, I pop in their inspiring CDs.

Our dog Lulu is a little turbo firecracker. She is a Shiba Inu and of course the best dog on the planet. She loves to escape and visit the neighborhood and bring joy to people.  I can see the entire universe in her eyes. She is magnificent. She also loves to lick the sweat from people when my husband takes her to his spinning classes, or lick our legs after we shower. She is a stinky weirdo. And a major F!yeah in my life.

    Kristen DeAndrade

littlelegsbigheart.wordpress.com Kristen and my friendship started way back when I was a holistic Personal Trainer. She hired me to get fit for one of her surgeries. When I look at her, I see pure and radiant love. She is one of the most inspiring people that I know. She has been dealt a challenging hand, and turned her story from blah to f!yeah by inspiring and helping others wherever she can. We have a lot of epic moments together, from her first handstand to her first wheel, to sharing the depth of our souls. When you read her blog, you will understand the preciousness of all of that. I see…
